Who are we ?
Candysan and CandysanBox are Here Japan sites.
Ici Japon is a Japanese company based in Tokyo since August 9, 2010 and registered as a kabushiki gaisha (株式会社) since February 23, 2015. First a blog then an information site on Japan, we specialized in the export of Japanese products in 2012 with the Candysan online store.
Subscribe to the CandysanBox, and receive a monthly selection of 1.5 kg of snacks, sweets and drinks sold only in Japan with a Japanese gift.
How do we choose the products?
All items in the CandysanBox are original products purchased in Japan and shipped from Japan. They are all selected by us according to criteria of quality and popularity.
In Japan, the various brands of sweets and snacks regularly renew the flavors of their products according to the seasons and times of the year. We always choose our products according to market trends, which allows us to never offer you the same product twice during the same year.
Can I buy Box products without subscribing?
You can find most of the Box products on our shop Candysan. But beware, some of the products in the CandysanBox are limited editions that we do not put on retail sale on the Candysan website. Subscribing to the CandysanBox is also the guarantee of discovering new products!!
I want to subscribe, does this commit me to several months? You can unsubscribe at any time via your personal space. The Candysanbox subscription is non-binding, indefinite and can be canceled at any time without additional costs.
I just subscribed: when will I receive my first CandysanBox?
You will receive it the month following your subscription. For example, if you start a subscription in February, your first CandysanBox will be in March!
If you subscribe today your first box will ship early next month and you will receive it within days of shipment.
I unsubscribed after being debited, will I receive my CandysanBox(es)?
If we have received your payment, you will receive the CandysanBox you paid for as originally planned, even if you have suspended your subscription.
You will no longer be charged for the months following your unsubscription and will no longer receive the following CandysanBoxes.
When will I be charged?
When you start a subscription, you are charged the same day. Your payment is automatically renewed each month on the same date. For example, if you subscribe on January 18, your next payment will be scheduled for February 18. Following this payment, you will receive the following CandysanBox.
Do I have to pay shipping costs?
Shipping costs are offered for Europe, on the other hand, for Canada, Mexico and the United States, we charge 3.99 € more for shipping costs.
What country do you ship to?
Here is the list of countries to which we send the CandysanBox:
France, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Denmark, Poland, Portugal, Italy, Canada (Quebec), Mexico, United States.
When will I receive my CandysanBoxes?
Your CandysanBox is air-shipped the first week of every month. Delivery times are generally 1 week from the date of dispatch. Delivery times can vary depending on the time of year and the efficiency of the postal services, so you will receive your Box each month on a different date.
How can I know where my box is after it has been shipped?
We ship your CandysanBox from Japan with DHL. You will receive online tracking by e-mail when your CandysanBox is sent.
My Box is late, what should I do?
The transport times announced by the postal services is 1 week, but some packages sometimes arrive later due to a fairly long customs clearance, or a simple DHL delay.
If your order was returned to Japan
This usually happens if the postman can't find your address or if you didn't collect your package from the DHL sorting center in time. The round trip to Japan will take 1 month to 2 months from the day of your order. Sometimes more, but it's quite rare. We can send your Box back to you once it returns to Japan. You may have to pay the shipping costs a second time for shipping, depending on the reason for the return. In any case, we will send you an e-mail as soon as possible after receipt of your package.
Special cases :
If you live on Gendarmerie or Army premises your mail may be handled by a special carrier other than DHL and this may extend delivery times.
Some numbers :
– just under 1% of the packages we ship are returned to Japan. Out of 10 parcels that return to Japan, about 7 bear the mention "unclaimed" (generally a problem with the delivery notice from the postman), 2 return with the mention "Does not live at the address indicated" or "Address unknown or not found”, the last one is returned for a different or unspecified reason.
– approximately 1 in 1,000 packages disappears during transport. It is of course impossible to know the reasons for this, but you can already avoid the risks of a delivery to the wrong address by warning your postman in advance that you are expecting a package from abroad. Filling in your phone number in the delivery address can also help the postman/deliverer to find the correct address.
I'm moving: how do I still receive my boxes?
When you move, first change your delivery address on your personal space. To do this, click on "My account" in the main menu, then on the "Addresses" tab. To next to your "Delivery address", click on "Edit".
Attention : after updating your address on your account, please send us a message via the contact form (choose subject 2 - Change of address) so that we can validate the change.
Also note that the change of address cannot be made on a box already indicated "in preparation" and will then be effective at the next box.
Finally, remember to follow up on your address with your postal service. In this way you will be sure to receive your CandysanBox at your new address.
Is my box insured?
No, but we promise to send you back your CandysanBox free of charge if it comes back to us in Japan, and if your delivery address is correct.
Being registered with the IOSS, we collect VAT in advance and remit it directly to the authorities. We are also not subject to customs duties, because we sell goods with a value of less than 150 euros. However, dTaxes other than VAT may be required. PTo collect your parcel, you will therefore have to pay these taxes.
For countries outside Europe
Customs fees and taxes may be applied to packages sent from Japan. We have no control over whether or not these charges apply.
Fees vary depending on the country of destination. The taxes are calculated according to the total price of the contents of the package + the shipping costs, to which may be added administration costs.
These fees and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient. Similarly, the recipient is responsible for any steps to take to receive a package from abroad according to the law applicable in his country.
